Day 2 Summary
Now that Day 2 is over, about 2/6 of the time is gone. It's technically not really 7 days for me; more 6.5 days.
I have completed the menu, and there shouldn't be any bug fixes remaining. Unfortunately the power cut off, but that thankfully didn't get rid of any progress. I am going to ignore any issues with movement until I get everything else done, and I may not actually end up fixing it.
In terms of art, I'm not 100% on it. I'm really not excited to do the backgrounds, and as I'm writing this (on the third day), I have only got an enemy and the main character. Currently the main character also feels like they're on ice, but I'm certain that footstep sounds will fix that. I can't really animate it due to the style that I'm using for the art. Although maybe with some basic colour modifications I can fake movement. It's not going to be hard to add footsteps anyway, and there are far more important things to do.
I've got the cutscene art partially done? It's all black and white line drawings, and I think I can get the rest done before midday of Day 3. The art direction is going to be the hardest part, so if I can get it done, I can focus on implementation, and then I can actually finish the game!
