Quick summary: Day 1
So, Day 1 (for me) has ended. So far I have a working menu, basic character movement, and a cutscene system. The whole project is being coded in c++, and I've already ran into some issues. First, the art style. The title screen is a different artstyle from everything else. The cutscenes and the game are also going to be separate, but I'm doing that on purpose. Maybe I'll just not bother caring too deeply about it. It doesn't need a defined artstyle, it's just a game jam game.
I don't do drawn art well, so it is going to pixel art mixed with basic drawings. I plan for the entirety of Day 2 just to be used for bug-fixing, and design. I mean, I'm almost done on the coding front. I just need to do some enemies, collision, and shooting, and that's all very easily done.
